Subcommittees assist in the day to day management of Community operations and provide advice to the Committee of Management in relation to their responsibilities.
Subcommittees established by the Committee of Management are:
Religious and Church Services:
Responsible to the Committee of Management for the services, sacraments and maitenance of the Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helene.
Hellenic Community Media Board:
Manages the broadcasting of the Hellenic Community Greek language programmes on Radio 6 EBA FM.
Broadcast times:
Sunday 1.00pm to 1.30pm
Monday 5.30pm to 6.30pm
Thursday 4.30pm to 6.00pm
Friday 5.00pm to 6.00pm
Saturday 7.00pm to 8.00pm
Hellenic Herald:
Responsible for the publishing of the HCWA Inc news magazine every quarter.
Constitutional Review:
Meets regularly to review the HCWA constitution and make recommendations to the Committee of Management for amemendments to the constitution.
Strategic Planning :
To plan the structure, direction and governance of the Hellenic Community.
School Board:
Gives direction for the day to day operations of St Andrew's Grammar on behalf of St Andrew's Grammar Inc.
Tower House Management:
Oversees Tower House building restoration, upkeep, maintenance, long term planning and makes recommendations to the Committee of Management.
Hellenic Centre Management:
Oversees the facilities of the Hellenic Centre; including leasing, restoration and maintenance.
Hellenic Community Aged Care Board:
Sets policies for the operation of Hellenic Community Aged Care, its existing and improved infrastructure and oversees applications for accreditation.
Youth:
Responsible for creating youth orientated events and learning activities, in accordance with Hellenic ideals.
Members are encouraged to nominate for appointment to a Subcommittee by contacting the Hellenic Centre on (93285141) Monday to Friday 10.00am to 2.00pm.
