HELLENIC COMMUNITY AGED CARE
Hellenic Community Aged Care located at Hellenic Drive, Dianella is owned and operated by the Hellenic Community Benevolent Association Inc.
This 80 bed ground level aged care facility was built in 1992 and received its first residents in 1993
The Facility is home to 71 permanent residents with two rooms for shorter-term respite care.
The Facility is close to the City of Perth yet surrounded by natural bushland. Co-location with St Andrew's Grammar School provides a feeling of community with students visiting the Facility to sing and dance for the residents and on special occasions such as Mother's and Father's days.
The Facility has large single rooms with en-suites. Each room has an access to interior of the Facility and a private external access some opening onto the internal courtyard and gazebo. Carers are present in the Facility 24 hours of each day and all meals are prepared in the Facility kitchen and all laundering done in the Facility laundry.
There are separate kitchens and laundries on each wing of the Facility for residents wishing to remain independent in the preparation of their meals and in laundering clothing.
Activities are an important part of Facility operations. Music, singing, dancing, games and exercise classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On the intervening days the are craft and bingo, visits to the local shopping centres and bus trips. During the course of each month, residents are taken on a mid-day outing for lunch or a picnic/barbecue. Residents and their families are encouraged to attend social evenings organised on a monthly basis.
Our Facility prides itself on providing a multicultural environment for our residents who have a mixture of cultural and religious backgrounds.
